We moved out this past weekend, and we have spent the last four days working on the house. We are still unpacking and getting set up,
however we have like no furniture to our names, and are going to get everything thrifted and from facebook market place.
So far I picked up end tables, a few lamps, a tv console, and a mirror for the entry way. I really like the MCM style and colorful IKEA styling.
Here is a photo of the entry way, but I haven't put the mirror up yet, but it is an oval one with a dark wood frame which will go above the bench.

I want to go to IKEA and get some fun lighting there and some plants, but we are waiting to get the flooring in on the main living room to start buying stuff like that.
We also are going to get a couch and a coffee table; my parents gave us my grandmas dining table and chairs and they look really vintage lmao.
I want to show also the before and after photos of when we painted. The previous owners had the walls a really dark tan color, and accent walls a dark maroon red. The carpet was also a dark chocolate brown color, and it was so depressing.
Looking at the carpet, I don't think they changed it since the 80s when they bought the house, but I spoke to one of the neighbors and they said the owners loved the colors.
We painted the walls an off-white color called "Beach House" from Behr, but we got it color matches at sherwin williams cause we have a friend who works as an R&D engineer and she was able to get a discount.

The last thing we have so far is to rip out the rest of the tak boards from the old carpet in the upstairs hallway and the downstairs living room. We spent all of yesterday taking the carpet out of the main living room, and I am so sore lol but it saves money.
Painting took 2 full 12 hour days, and we used 2 cans of primer and 7 cans of the color. The flooring guy is coming in today to start one of the rooms, and will come back to finish later this week. Here are the photos of what it looks like with all the carpet taken out, and we chose two different LVP floors for the downstairs and upstairs.
This is like the last BIG thing that we need to do before we can finally settle down and start decorating, and I am SO excited.
